Education Technician II - Preschool
Children's Collaborative is looking for an Education Technician II for full and part-time positions available year round. Positions include family-friendly schedules, rewarding and meaningful work, and supportive teamwork. The Southern Maine Administrative Collaborative (SMAC) focuses on early intervention for children showing signs of increased speech, behavioral, developmental, or mental health issues. Children's Collaborative offers services for children with autism or similar developmental disabilities to learn skills to help them function successfully in home, school, and community.
SMAC is a unique organization that returns our profits to the public school system. Our program offers individually based programming for children ages 2½ to 5 years old. We serve students with a variety of disabilities, including autism, physical disabilities, cognitive disabilities, and behavioral challenges. Qualifications:
- Eligible for appropriate Maine Department of Education certification (022).
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent, plus 3 years of post-secondary education (60 credits).
Brief
Job Duties:
- Works one to one and with small groups of students to implement curriculum, instruction, and assessments.
- Assists with building duties and routine tasks as assigned by the principal and supervising teachers (i.e. recess, lunch, bus duty, etc.).
- Prepares and organizes materials for instruction as requested by teachers and supervisors.
- Assists with the supervision of students during emergency drills, assemblies, play periods, field trips, etc.
- Assists students with lunch, snack, and clean-up routines.
- Developing and administering elementary school curriculum.
