Elementary Classroom Teacher - 4th Grade

Starting Fall 2026

School Description

The Biddeford Intermediate School serves grades 3-4. We expect staff and students to embrace our three key pillars of learning: discovery, educating the whole child, and supporting them with a positive culture and climate.

Brief

Job Duties
  • Developing and administering school elementary curriculum
  • Conducting ongoing assessments of student learning and modifying instructional methods to fit individual student needs, including students with special needs
  • Encouraging parental involvement in students' education.
Certification / License

Maine Department of Education Certification - Elementary Teacher. Criminal History Record Check (CHRC), which includes fingerprints on file with the Maine Department of Education.

Education

Bachelor's from an accredited college or university in education or a related discipline.

Compensation

Based on education level, experience, and per the collective bargaining agreement. Range: $49,519 - $93,024.
