Licensed Clinical Social Worker/School Counselor

Dayton Consolidated School is seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker/School Counselor. Starting August 2026, come and join the incredible team at Dayton Consolidated School. Brief

Job Duties:

• Supports students and families to promote academic, social and emotional growth.
• Facilitating referrals to the Department of Human Services per school committee policy.
• Coordinating and consulting with community resources, and other interested community residents.
• Organizing and providing training programs for parents.
• Maintaining complete records on all in-school referrals and case management.
• Respecting confidentiality of position.
• Facilitates a smooth transition for children between grade levels and schools.
• Develops a variety of resource materials to be used for classroom guidance activities.
• Develops programs and assist students in dealing with human relations, social values, decision making, personal development and career preparation, and to conduct classes in these areas.
• Works with Building Leader to collect and apply student data to improve the educational programming of students.
• Adheres to truancy protocols.
• Assists in the programming needs of all students throughout the school.
• Making home visits when deemed necessary or upon request by a Building Leader.
• Provide relevant student/family information to staff that assists with individual student growth.
• Serves on committees as assigned by the Building Leader and Director of Special Education.
• Attend IEPs and serves students with IEPs as an educational related service.
• Other job-related duties as assigned by the Building Leader or Director of Special Education.

Certification/License:
Licensed by State of Maine Social Work Registration Board.

Criminal History Record Check (CHRC), which includes Fingerprints on file with the Maine Department of Education.

Education:

Masters Degree as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

Experience:

Successful prior school experience for the appropriate grade levels is preferred but not required.

Compensation:
Based on education level, experience, and per the collective bargaining agreement Range: $49,750 - $81,650.
