Special Education - Education Technicians II
Biddeford Primary School is seeking an experienced Education Technician specialized in Special Education.

Job Duties
- Review and reinforce learning previously introduced by the classroom or special education teacher and assist in drill and practice activities.
- Participate in required workshops by request of Building Leader, Supervisor, or Director.
- Perform non-instructional, non-evaluating functions including suspension of students.
- Assist in preparation of instructional materials or provide classroom management functions during emergency drills, assemblies, play periods, etc.
- Alert teacher to any problem or special information about an individual student.
- Certification as an Education Technician from the Maine Department of Education
- Criminal History Record Check (CHRC) which includes fingerprints on file with the Maine Department of Education
- Appropriate for Ed Technician Certification Level
- Successful prior classroom experience or working with students with special needs for the appropriate grade levels is preferred, but not required.
- Located along the Atlantic coastline with miles of beaches
- Views of the Saco River to its west
- Less than 20 minutes south of the Greater Portland Area
- Less than two hours north of Boston
- Home to a growing population of diverse residents
- Maine's youngest city with a median age of 29 in the historic downtown
- Based on position, education level, experience, and per the collective bargaining agreement
- Range: $21.70 – $32.67 per hour
