Long-Term Substitute - Middle School Math

Biddeford Middle School is seeking a long-term substitute for middle school math starting in Fall 2026. The middle school serves grades 5-7 and emphasizes discovery, educating the whole child, and maintaining a positive culture and climate.

Job duties include developing and administering the middle school curriculum, conducting ongoing assessments of student learning, and modifying instructional methods to fit individual student needs, including those with special needs. Encouraging parental involvement in students' education is also part of the role.

Certification in Elementary Education (020) from the Maine Department of Education and a criminal history record check are required. A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in education or a related discipline is required, with a master's degree in a related area preferred. Successful prior teaching experience for the appropriate grade levels is preferred but not required.

Compensation ranges from $125 to $140 per day.
