EAM is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in developing cutting-edge automation and inspection solutions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative machine design and assembly projects while providing exceptional customer support. What You'll Do as a Mechanical Design Engineer
  • Create mechanical and electrical CAD designs for automation systems.
  • Lead automation project teams from conception to completion.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new automation systems.
  • Travel to customer sites as part of the sales effort and for customer support.
  • Act, from time-to-time, as a mentor to less experienced engineers.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SOLIDWORKS, Inventor).
  • Expert level knowledge of automation mechanisms and methods.
  • Experience with electrical control panels, pneumatic systems, and automated control systems.
  • Experience with machine vision and servo motors.
  • Excellent communication skills for customer interface and support.
  • Ability to generate mechanical fabrication drawings and production job orders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and ERP systems.
  • Willingness to travel for on-site customer support and installations.
  • Knowledge of medical, pharmaceutical, and food & beverage best design practices is a plus.
