Manufacturing Engineer – Fluid Power
Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Manufacturing Engineer – Fluid Power role in Biddeford, ME. Our client is a well-established industry leader in hydraulic and pneumatic system manufacturing, known for innovation and a commitment to delivering the highest quality engineered products. Key Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and improve manufacturing processes related to hydraulic and pneumatic (fluid power) systems and components.
- Provide technical support for production teams, troubleshooting equipment, tooling, and process issues to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement process improvements that increase efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
- Develop and maintain work instructions, process documentation, and standard operating procedures.
- Evaluate and select tooling, fixtures, and equipment to support manufacturing of fluid power assemblies.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives for quality or performance issues.
- Support new product introduction (NPI) efforts, ensuring manufacturability and smooth production launches.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality systems, and regulatory requirements.
- Analyze production data and metrics to identify trends and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
- Train production personnel on new processes, equipment, and best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Experience in fluid power systems (hydraulics and pneumatics) within a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing, process optimization, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proficiency in reading engineering drawings, schematics, and fluid power diagrams.
- Experience with ERP systems and manufacturing documentation practices is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Competitive salary based on experience. $85,000 yearly DOE.
