Responsibilities
- Support engineering and planning efforts for Submarine Rescue and Undersea Mobility platforms
- Develop modernization plans/changes for the US Navy Deep Submergence Assets and Support Systems
- Perform mechanical, electrical and/or structural analysis
- Evaluate components and materials and systems to ensure system integration, compatibility and stability
- Some travel will be required
- Work will be in support of US Navy Submarines, Submersibles or Deep Submergence projects
- Electrical / Mechanical / Systems / Ocean engineering degree from an ABET Accredited College/University
- Professional engineering experience performing complex engineering calculations such as heat transfer, fluid flow, piping stress, mechanical stress etc.
- Experience with configuration management and document control
- Demonstrated ability to manage work in a time-sensitive operational environment
- Ability to achieve excellence working individually or as part of a team
- Well‑developed interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret clearance
