Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a PLC Engineer role in Biddeford, ME. Key Responsibilities:- Design, develop, program, and troubleshoot PLC systems to support manufacturing operations.
- Maintain and optimize automated control systems to ensure maximum equipment uptime and efficiency.
- Diagnose and resolve issues with PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and related automation equipment.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement process improvements and new automation solutions.
- Perform system upgrades, modifications, and integrations for existing control systems.
- Develop and maintain documentation including schematics, programming logic, and system configurations.
- Ensure all control systems comply with safety standards and company policies.
- Support installation, commissioning, and testing of new equipment and automation systems.
- Provide technical support and training to maintenance and production personnel.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance and reliability.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience with PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar platforms).
- Experience with HMI/SCADA systems and industrial communication protocols.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in an industrial environment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Flexibility to support off-shift or on-call needs as required.
- Knowledge of safety standards and industrial best practices is preferred.
Competitive salary. $90,000-$105,000 DOE.
