This is an on-site role by design. The work is collaborative, fast-moving, and closely tied to daily operations. Candidates seeking hybrid or remote flexibility will not be a fit. Relocation may be considered on a case-by-case basis for the right individual who understands the value of being fully embedded with the team.
The roleReporting directly to the CFO and Director of Finance, this position is ideal for a finance professional who values clarity, ownership, and follow-through. The leadership style is straightforward and high-integrity. Expectations are clear, feedback is honest, and strong performers are trusted and supported.
You will serve as a key partner across finance, operations, engineering, and program leadership, supporting both GAAP and government cost accounting requirements. The scope is meaningful and visible, with a direct impact on forecasting, contract performance, and long-term planning.
What you will do:Lead quarterly, annual, and long-range financial forecasting
Analyze contract performance, estimates to complete, and revenue recognition
Prepare monthly financial reporting and support government-related reporting requirements
Support budgeting and forecasting cycles across departments
Partner with program and operational leaders to provide insight and recommendations
Enhance gross margin reporting by customer and product line
Support audits and government cost submissions as needed
Continuously improve processes, reporting accuracy, and financial visibility
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Experience in manufacturing, ideally within regulated or contract-driven environments
Strong grounding in GAAP financial statements and accounting best practices
Working knowledge of cost accounting principles
Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems such as SAGE
Highly organized, deadline-driven, and comfortable working cross-functionally
A practical problem solver who communicates well with senior leadership
100 percent onsite in Biddeford, Maine
Monday through Friday, standard business hours
