Position Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist

Location: Biddeford, ME

Assignment Duration: 13‑week contract position.

Schedule: Night shift: 7 PM‑7 AM

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist with experience in ICU and ER settings, including expertise in treating pediatric patients who require intubation and mechanical ventilation. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a Nursery (Level
1), where they will support high‑risk C‑sections and participate in resuscitation teams, as well as Med‑Surge floors.

Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care to patients across all age groups, from newborns to adults.
  • Utilize various equipment including Drager V500, Hamilton T‑1 ventilators, and neoPuff.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the EPIC system.
  • Attend high‑risk deliveries and support the resuscitation team as needed.
  • Float to various areas within the hospital as required.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
  • Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in critical care settings, including adult ICU and pediatrics.
  • Experience in neonatal and pediatric intensive care units (NICU, PICU) preferred.
  • Strong assessment skills and competence with the respiratory equipment mentioned.
