Position SummaryFedcap Inc., part of The Fedcap Group, is seeking an experienced Senior Director to lead its statewide Maine workforce services contract. This executive leadership role is responsible for the overall performance, operational excellence, and long-term success of a large, high-profile government-funded contract serving individuals and families across Maine.
The Senior Director will provide leadership and oversight for a statewide operation spanning 16 locations and approximately 150 employees. Reporting to the President of Fedcap Inc. and working closely with The Fedcap Group's New England Regional Senior Vice President, this leader will be accountable for contract performance, financial stewardship, compliance, operational execution, stakeholder engagement, staff leadership, and continuous improvement.
The successful candidate will bring a balance of strategic leadership and operational discipline, with the ability to build strong relationships with government partners, employers, community organizations, and staff while fostering a culture of accountability, performance, and service excellence. This highly visible leader will be responsible for maintaining strong funder confidence, driving operational excellence, advancing participant outcomes, supporting service innovation, and positioning the contract for long-term sustainability, renewal, and growth.
The anticipated salary range for this position is $175,000 - $200,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Maine workforce contract, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities, contract requirements, and the State of Maine's workforce goals.
- Translate Fedcap's mission, values, and economic mobility framework into clear operational strategies, measurable outcomes, and performance expectations.
- Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, transparency, continuous improvement, and service excellence.
- Serve as the senior point of accountability for contract performance, operational effectiveness, stakeholder relationships, and organizational results.
- Partner closely with the New England Regional Senior Vice President to align regional priorities, enterprise strategy, and organizational resources.
- Oversee all aspects of contract performance, including service delivery, participant outcomes, compliance, reporting, quality assurance, and continuous improvement.
- Establish management routines, performance reviews, dashboards, and metrics to monitor performance, identify trends, and drive informed decision‑making.
- Identify operational risks, performance gaps, and service delivery challenges and implement corrective actions to strengthen performance and outcomes.
- Ensure consistency across sites, staffing models, management practices, and service delivery standards.
- Leverage data to assess performance, allocate resources, improve outcomes, and support operational decision‑making.
