Job Overview
Weaving & Fiber Manufacturing Technicians – Career Transition Friendly Pay: $20-22 per hour.
Schedule:
1st & 2nd Shift openings available. Status:
Direct, permanent openings. This role is part of an industry‑leading, high‑tech manufacturing operation that produces advanced textile and composite materials used in aerospace, defense, and extreme‑environment applications.
Depending on your strengths and training path, this role may involve a mix of:
- Operating and supporting specialized weaving and fiber‑processing equipment
- Performing detailed hand‑weaving using carbon and technical fibers (3‑ and 4‑directional weaves)
- Making and preparing needles, spools, and related tooling
- Inspecting materials and finished work to exact specifications
- Recording process and quality data accurately
- Assisting with equipment setup, material handling, and changeovers
- Following strict safety, housekeeping, and quality procedures
We are looking for candidates who:
- Take pride in doing careful, repeatable work
- Have good hand‑eye coordination and attention to detail
- Are comfortable standing and working with their hands for long periods
- Can follow written instructions and basic math requirements
- Value long‑term stability over quick turnover
- Manufacturing experience is helpful but not required – strong candidates are trained extensively
- Are looking to transition from service or retail positions into a specialized manufacturing career thanks to our training program
Applicants must have:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to pass a pre‑employment physical, drug screen, and background check
- Basic math and reading comprehension (assessed during the interview process)
- Willingness to follow a structured training and qualification path
- 16 earned time‑off days
- 12 paid holidays (including a winter shutdown)
