Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Manufacturing Engineer role in Biddeford, ME. Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety.
- Analyze production workflows and implement process improvements to reduce waste and increase productivity.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement effective solutions.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
- Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen events.
- Evaluate and recommend new equipment, tooling, and technologies to enhance manufacturing capabilities.
- Monitor production metrics and conduct root cause analysis to drive corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies throughout the manufacturing process.
- Assist with new product introductions by developing manufacturing methods, tooling, and process validation.
- Provide technical support and training to production teams to ensure consistent and efficient operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production engineering environment preferred.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, process improvement methodologies, and production systems.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement tools is highly desirable.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency with engineering documentation, CAD software, or manufacturing systems is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment while managing multiple projects.
- Competitive salary. $85,000 yearly DOE.
