Full Time/DaysThis is a Registered Nurse 2 vacancy open to RN candidates with greater than 1 year of experience.
IncentivesFor a limited time Maine Health is offering up to $10,000 Sign‑on bonus for all eligible experienced Registered Nurses with 1‑2 years of experience and $20,000 for experienced Registered Nurses with greater than 3 years of experience.
- Eligible candidates are hired into a Full or Part‑time RN position. Bonus amount prorated for Part‑time hires; per‑diem hires are ineligible.
- Current Maine Health member employees are ineligible; former Maine Health Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.
We are currently seeking a Discharge Planning/Case Management/Utilization Review RN to join our team. This is a 40 hour per week, salaried, day shift position working 8‑hour shifts. Weekend rotation may be every third weekend. In addition to the requirements listed below, our ideal candidate has a strong medical/surgical, intensive care or home health care background.
- Previous case management and utilization review experience is needed.

SummaryThe Registered Nurse – Case Manager will provide patient‑focused coordination, negotiation, and procurement of necessary resources to address all identified areas of need for facilitation of achievement of quality, cost‑effective outcomes. Acts as a patient advocate through collaboration with the patient and the interdisciplinary staff, internal and external to the organization.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)- Education:
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required;
Bachelor’s Degree preferred. - License/
Certifications:
Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. - Experience:
Five years of acute care clinical setting nursing experience preferred. Knowledge and experience in discharge planning, case management and utilization review preferred.
