About Maine Touch
Maine Touch is a licensed and trusted care agency based in Portland, Maine, providing quality in‑home and community support to members throughout the state. We are currently seeking Registered Nurses (RNs) to conduct member visits and staff visits as part of our ongoing care coordination and quality oversight program.
We are building partnerships with skilled and compassionate nurses throughout Maine who can help us ensure consistent, high‑quality care for our members.
Position OverviewThis is a contracted position, so assignments will depend on your availability, location, and how far you are willing to travel. You will perform in‑home member visits, conduct staff oversight visits, and provide general nursing assessments and follow‑ups as needed.
We are looking for RNs located in any county across Maine who are available to visit members, check on care quality, and oversee service delivery in their area.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct member visits to assess the member's health, satisfaction, and environment.
- Perform staff visits to observe care delivery, provide coaching, and ensure compliance with agency standards.
- Provide direct patient care in the home when required, including assessments, wound care, medication management, and skilled nursing interventions.
- Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized nursing care plans based on the member's needs and physician orders.
- Monitor vital signs, symptoms, and conditions, and report changes promptly to the physician and Maine Touch supervisor.
- Administer medications, injections, and other prescribed treatments safely and accurately.
- Educate members and families on disease management, medication use, and home safety.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and caregivers to ensure coordinated care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all visits, assessments, and services.
- Ensure compliance with infection control, HIPAA, and all applicable state and federal regulations.
- Serve as a professional representative of Maine Touch, demonstrating compassion, respect, and cultural sensitivity at all times.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Maine (required).
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in home health, long‑term care, or community‑based nursing.
- Strong communication, observation, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within assigned counties.
- Pay Rate: $40 – $65 per hour, depending on experience and assignment type.
- Contracted Position:
Based on your schedule, county availability, and travel radius. - All travel expenses covered (mileage, tolls, etc.).
- Flexible schedule—you choose where and when you're available to work.
- Assignments issued per visit cycle (based on member and staff needs).
- Prompt payment upon documentation submission and verification.

Cumberland, York, Androscoggin, Kennebec, Oxford, Franklin, Somerset, Waldo, Hancock, Knox, Lincoln, Sagadahoc, Penobscot, Aroostook, and Washington.
