Registered Nurse - Operating Room | Biddeford, Maine

Seeking a skilled operating room nurse with a strong background in Level 1 trauma procedures, specializing in Gynecology and Genitourinary surgeries. This dynamic contract opportunity is ideal for an RN with at least three years of experience in high-acuity surgical settings. The role involves working in a fast-paced, 26-bed operating room that treats a diverse patient population, ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics.

You'll be integral to a dedicated perioperative team, delivering care for a wide range of advanced procedures.

Schedule/Hours:

• 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM shifts
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 1:4 weekends (12-hour shifts)
• One overnight trauma call (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM), additional call per specialty team if assigned

Qualifications:

• Active RN license with at least 3 years of Level 1 trauma experience
• Proficiency with Gynecology and GU surgical procedures:
  Robotics (Da Vinci Xi), PCNL, nephrectomy, ureteral reimplant, hysterectomy, cystectomy, colpocleisis, hysteroscopy, ureteroscopy
• Comfortable with care for all ages, from children through older adults
• Working knowledge of Storz, Stryker, Olympus, and Intuitive Robot equipment
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• CNOR certification preferred
• Flexible, accountable, and collaborative personality; punctuality and reliable teamwork required

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide top-tier intraoperative care as circulating and scrub nurse
• Collaborate with surgeons, surgical techs, anesthesiologists, and other team members
• Adhere to all safety and infection control standards
• Rapidly adapt to trauma cases and urgent surgical interventions
• Maintain detailed documentation within Epic EMR
