Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - Discharge Planning

Full Time/Days

This is a Registered Nurse 2 vacancy open to RN candidates with greater than 1 year of experience.

Location: Maine Medical Center - Biddeford, ME

Job : 73193

Salary: Up to $10,000 sign-on bonus for 1–2 years of experience and $20,000 for more than 3 years, prorated for part-time hires. Per diem hires are ineligible. Eligible candidates will be hired in a full or part-time RN position.

Ineligible: Current Maine Health members are ineligible; former members are ineligible until more than 6 months separation from employment.

This is a 40‑hour per week, salaried, day‑shift position working 8‑hour shifts. Weekend rotation may be every third weekend.

Ideal candidate background: Strong medical/surgical, intensive care, or home health care experience.

Responsibilities
  • Discharge planning, case management, and utilization review.
  • Previous case management and utilization review experience is required.
Qualifications
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required;
    Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • License/Certification: Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required.
  • Experience: Five years of acute‑care clinical nursing experience preferred. Knowledge and experience in discharge planning, case management and utilization review preferred.
