American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry night shift position requiring an active ME or compact RN license and 2+ years of experience.

• Work on a 56-bed Med Surg Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Care for a general medical-surgical telemetry patient population
• RN patient ratios of 1:4-5 on days and 1:5-6 on nights
• Night shift schedule from 6:45 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36 guaranteed weekly hours over a 13-week contract
• Weekend shifts vary by scheduling needs
• Call requirement of 2 twelve-hour call shifts during the 13-week contract
• Float to other med surg units as needed within a 25-mile radius between facilities
• Uses Epic EMR

• Active RN license (Maine or Compact) required
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg Telemetry experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Driver's License required for consideration
• 2 professional references required

• Provide nursing care to general med/surg telemetry patients including monitoring, treatment, and coordination of care
• Team-oriented, hardworking, and accountable candidates preferred
• Scrubs of any color accepted as long as attire is clean and professional; hoodies, graphic shirts, and open shoes are not permitted
• Candidates located within 90 miles of any Maine Health facility are considered local, which may affect pay rate
• Local travelers are not eligible for contract renewals or extensions
• Candidates who have worked at any Maine Health facility within the past 12 months should disclose this during consideration
• RTO should be minimal, with 3-4 days considered reasonable for a 13-week contract at manager's discretion
• First-time travelers may be considered for this position
