The Cardiac Medical/Surgical Unit at Maine Medical Center
- Biddeford is a 40 Bed unit providing care of acute medical, cardiac, and telemetry patients, providing a dynamic and supportive environment for nurses at all stages of their careers. Team members care for a diverse patient population while building strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and cardiac monitoring skills. As nurses grow and advance in their practice, opportunities for Intermediate Care (IMC) training are available, allowing them to expand their expertise and confidently care for higher-acuity patients when needed.

  -This is aone-time, 13-week assignment

• Full time (36 hoursper week)

Incumbents are eligible to apply for regular employment with a Maine Health Entity following completion of assignment if position matching skill setsisavailable.

To be eligible for consideration

• Must be separated from a Maine Health facility forgreaterthan 12 months.

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience

The Registered Nurse II
- Acute Care - MMC BID SAN roleis responsible forthe management of patient care, including clinical nursing practice/caring, leadership, management, professionalism, and growth/development, as well as the independent assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.

• Education:
  
  Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• License/
  
  Certifications:
  
  Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Current BLS certification requiredor must obtain within
  30 daysof start date. ICU, SCU, ED and PACURN'srequire ACLS and PALS Certifications within one year of start date orin accordance with Department guidelines. OB, NICURN'srequire NRP Certification within one year ofstartdate orin accordance with Department guidelines. Positions that are fully remote will not require BLS.
• Experience:One year of RN experience required. Demonstrates competency in all essential functions of a Registered Nurse
  - Acute Care role.
• Additional Skills/Requirements

  Annual Electronic Fetal Monitoring competency for any RNassisting
  
  Laboring Womenrequired.

The pay range for this position is $75.00 per hour.

Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
