Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Quality Technician role in Biddeford, ME. Key Responsibilities- Perform in-process and final product inspections to ensure compliance with company standards and customer specifications.
- Conduct testing and measurement of materials and components using precision tools and testing equipment.
- Document and maintain accurate quality records, inspection reports, and test results.
- Identify non-conforming materials and assist with containment, investigation, and corrective actions.
- Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and reduce defects.
- Monitor production processes to verify adherence to established quality procedures and standards.
- Assist with internal audits and ensure compliance with quality management systems (e.g., ISO standards).
- Calibrate and maintain inspection and testing equipment as required.
- Communicate quality concerns effectively with production, engineering, and leadership teams.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company policies.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical certification preferred.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or quality role preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Experience using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection instruments.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications for documentation and reporting.
- Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with quality systems and standards (ISO or similar) is a plus.
