Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Quality Inspector role in Biddeford, ME. Key Responsibilities- Perform detailed inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with company standards and customer specifications.
- Conduct visual, dimensional, and functional inspections using precision measuring tools and equipment.
- Document inspection results accurately and maintain thorough quality records and reports.
- Identify, report, and assist in resolving quality issues, non-conformances, and production defects.
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure quality standards are understood and consistently met.
- Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure adherence to established quality procedures and specifications.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective action processes to prevent recurring defects.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized inspection area and ensure proper handling of materials.
- Participate in internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or quality-related training is preferred.
- Prior experience in quality inspection or manufacturing environment preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Proficiency with measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with quality management systems (ISO or similar standards) is a plus.
