Calibration Quality Technician
Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Calibration Quality Technician role in Biddeford, ME. Our client is a well-established industry leader known for innovation and a commitment to delivering the highest quality products. Key Responsibilities:• Perform calibration, verification, and maintenance of inspection, measurement, and testing equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance with quality standards.
• Maintain calibration schedules, records, certifications, and documentation for measuring and test equipment.
• Perform quality inspections on raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to verify compliance with specifications and quality requirements.
• Utilize precision measurement equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, indicators, and other inspection tools.
• Identify and document nonconforming materials, equipment, or processes and communicate quality concerns to appropriate team members.
• Assist with troubleshooting measurement discrepancies and determining appropriate corrective actions.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, work instructions, and quality documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to maintain consistent product and process quality.
• Accurately document inspection results, calibration activities, and other required quality data.
• Promptly report equipment, calibration, or quality concerns to supervisors and appropriate departments.
Qualifications:• High school diploma or equivalent; technical education or additional quality training is preferred.
• Previous experience in calibration, metrology, quality inspection, or a similar manufacturing quality role is preferred.
• Direct calibration experience is ideal; however, candidates with strong Quality Technician experience and an excellent overall quality background will be considered.
• Experience using precision measurement and inspection equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and quality.
• Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a manufacturing environment and coordinate with production, engineering, and quality teams.
