Compensation Pay Range

$15.10 - $19.50

The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the minimum wage at the job location. Additional compensation includes annual, quarterly performance, or premiums that may be paid per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if criteria are met.

The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in areas of sales, customer service, store appearance, and store operations. This position will manage the store during the Manager’s absence or opposing shifts. The Assistant Manager will lead the store team in servicing customers.

Essential Job Functions
  • Lead the store team in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
  • Supervise the customer service levels on the retail showroom, including team member execution of customer service programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc.).
  • Work with the store manager to ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed during peak hours.
  • Assist the store manager in setting team member goals, providing feedback on goal achievement, coaching and mentoring team members, and ensuring team members stay current on their training.
  • Assist in the hiring process by completing recruiting tasks, scheduling and participating in interviews, evaluating candidates, and collaborating with management to ensure qualified team member selection.
  • Ensure the telephone is answered according to company policy.
  • Process buy online/ship to store, hub-to-store, and store-to-store transfers, and DC add orders promptly and contact customers upon shipment arrivals as needed.
  • Use the electronic outside purchase order ledger to handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and in accordance with procedure.
  • Process retail customer returns and exchanges efficiently, issue refunds accurately using the correct payment methods, and stage returned merchandise correctly.
  • Invoice all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, before product leaves the store.
  • Communicate Zipline messages and oversee Image Maker and merchandising tasks, delegating and completing them as assigned.
  • Ensure all team members comply with company policies, adhere to posted work schedules, obtain approvals for changes/deviations, and clock in/out properly.
  • Perform all store opening and closing duties, including day‑end procedures, verifying and securing money/deposits, preparing bank deposits, ensuring night security lights are on, locking doors, arming/disarming alarms, and securing delivery vehicles.
  • Assist the store manager in maintaining the store building, parking lot, exterior signage and lighting, computer hardware, in‑store service equipment, and delivery vehicles.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
