Compensation

Pay Range: $15.10 – $19.50 per hour. Additional premium compensation may include annual, quarterly performance, or spot awards, depending on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if criteria are met.

Job Summary

The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations. The assistant will manage the store during the Manager’s absence or during opposing shifts and will lead the team in servicing customers. Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the store team to provide excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
  • Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom, ensuring team member execution of customer service programs (Related Sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc.).
  • Work with the store manager to ensure adequate staffing of the retail sales counter, especially during peak business hours.
  • Assist the store manager in setting team member goals, providing feedback on goal achievement, coaching and mentoring team members, and ensuring current training.
  • Assist in the hiring process: complete recruiting tasks, schedule and participate in interviews, evaluate candidates, and collaborate with management to select qualified team members.
  • Ensure the telephone is answered according to company policy.
  • Process all buy online/ship to store, hub to store transfers, and DC add orders in a timely manner, contacting customers upon shipment arrivals.
  • Use the electronic outside purchase order ledger to manage special orders and outside purchases efficiently and per procedure.
  • Process retail customer returns and exchanges efficiently and friendly, issuing refunds accurately with correct payment methods and staging returned merchandise correctly.
  • Ensure that all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, is invoiced before the product leaves the store.
  • Communicate Zipline messages and delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned.
  • Ensure all team members comply with company policies, including posted work schedule, approved deviations, and proper time‑keeping.
  • Perform opening and closing duties: day‑end procedures, verify and secure money deposits, prepare bank deposits as needed, ensure night security lights are on, lock building, arm/disarm alarms, and secure delivery vehicle(s).
  • Assist the store manager in maintaining store building, parking lot, exterior signage/light, computer hardware, in‑store test equipment, and delivery vehicles.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Required:

    Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification, and RSS Certification.
  • Desired:
    Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification.
  • Fluency in multiple languages;
    Spanish highly desired.
