What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
  • Develop and nurture relationships with key decision-makers in state and local government as well as educational institutions
  • Align security and identity solutions with regional priorities, focusing on digital transformation and cybersecurity
  • Navigate and master procurement cycles and cooperative purchasing agreements relevant to each state
  • Proactively identify and qualify new opportunities within the competitive SLED market
  • Maintain an active presence in major hubs, requiring frequent travel to engage with customers and partners
What is Required (Qualifications):
  • Proven experience in closing deals within State and Local cooperative contracts and formal RFP/RFQ processes
  • Strong understanding of SLED funding streams including state legislative appropriations and federal grants
  • Experience managing complex multi-state public sector accounts across the Northeast corridor
  • Background in selling to the education sector, with understanding of governance in public university systems and K-12 districts
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with C-level executives and SLED leadership
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
  • Experience with navigating specific state contract vehicles such as NY OGS and MA CommBUYS
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a high level of energy and dedication to succeed
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and build strong relationships
  • Familiarity with CRM tools for managing business opportunities and sales pipeline growth
