Territory Sales Representative – Valero (San Antonio, TX)
About the team/role:
As a Valero Territory Sales Representative at WEX, you will drive sales and growth for our leading payment product. You will identify and secure new accounts for the Valero Fleet Card programs, targeting fleets in the San Antonio and Austin, TX markets and covering a multi‑state territory. Travel for this role is 50–75%.
- Consistently meet or exceed monthly KPIs (net cards, gallons, revenue)
- Develop a strategic plan for territory expansion in collaboration with the sales manager
- Self‑generate leads and build a robust pipeline of fleet opportunities
- Maintain accurate records in Salesforce
- Demonstrate exceptional discovery and presentation skills
- 3–5 years of outside sales experience with a proven track record in client acquisition and relationship building
- Demonstrated consistent quota performance in a B2B sales environment
- Ability to sell against the competition
- Strong prospect‑channel identification, development, and qualification skills
- High degree of territory management capability, including a multi‑state territory
- Willingness to travel via air or vehicle
- Successful completion of a background investigation
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Comfortable with professional written and verbal communication at all levels, from frontline to C‑Level contacts
- Commitment to teamwork within the sales organization
- Strong forecasting and pipeline management skills; prior Salesforce experience a plus
- Industry knowledge in fleet management or commercial payments
- Goal‑focused, self‑motivated, creative, flexible and adaptable to new situations
- Ability to work with minimal supervision while maintaining focus and productivity to meet deadlines
- Strong relationship management and time management skills
- Previous work or consultation with fleets a plus
Base Salary: $65,000–$75,000. Commission‑based role with an OTE of $100,000+. Total compensation includes base pay and commissions.
