Position: (USA) Technician, General Facilities Maintenance

Position Summary

General Facilities Maintenance Technician at Walmart local retail store. Responsibilities include routine maintenance, inspections, repairs of facilities, equipment, fixtures, ensuring safety and functionality.

Position Requirements
  • 18 years or older
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Can lift up to 50 lbs. at a time
  • Can move up and down ladders frequently
  • Comfortable working at heights frequently
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
  • Able to work in various temperatures
  • Hold a valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report
  • Vocational or Technical certification and 1 year of experience, or 2 years total work experience, in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade
  • Vocational or Technical certification and 3 years of experience in the above trades or 5 years of experience
  • Eligible for a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) (preferred)
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling, food equipment craft skills and hand/power tools.
  • Utilize the work order management system to receive and document reactive repair work orders supporting stores and associates.
  • Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
  • Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
  • Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.

Compensation
  • Hourly wage range $19.00 – $35.00. Additional premiums may be paid up to $3.00 per hour based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
