Electrical Industrial Maintenance Technician
Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for an Electrical Industrial Maintenance Technician role in Biddeford, ME. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial electrical systems, machinery, and production equipment.
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues to minimize equipment downtime.
- Install, maintain, and repair motors, motor controls, VFDs, PLCs, sensors, and other industrial electrical components.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Perform equipment inspections and identify opportunities for preventative maintenance and process improvements.
- Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and commissioning of new production machinery.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are completed in accordance with OSHA regulations, NFPA standards, and company safety procedures.
- Accurately document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage using maintenance management systems.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and manufacturing efficiency.
- Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to restore production with minimal downtime.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or electrical apprenticeship preferred.
- 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, PLC troubleshooting, motor controls, VFDs, and automation equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
- Experience troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems is highly preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed.
