As we continue to grow, we are seeking an Tax & Accounting Director to join our team in our Big Lake, MN office. Currently we have two locations – Elk River and Big Lake, MN.
Our Tax & Accounting Director will prepare personal and business tax returns, trust, non‑profit, S‑Corp, Partnerships, set up new businesses, consult and advise business and individual clients, and help manage staff and workflows. Knowledge of software applications include Drake Tax, Drake Accounting, Quick Books Online and Desktop, online scheduling software, online secure file sharing, Zoom Meetings, and Microsoft Applications. You would also be reviewing W2 and 1099 processing, reviewing and training staff on bookkeeping transactions and Journal Entries.
Our ideal candidate will have experience with reviewing complex Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet statements and advising clients on their financial situation.

- Up to 10–15 hours of paid overtime approved a week during tax season. We are open M–F from 9–8 and Saturday 9–5 during tax season. Typical schedule during tax season (mid‑January to April 15th) is 9–7 M–F and every other Saturday 9–5.
- Off season (April 16th to mid‑January) we require a minimum of 32 hours per week and we are open Monday‑Friday, 9–5. Summer months we are open Monday‑Thursday so our associates can enjoy a three‑day weekend.

- Salary range: $70,000 – $105,000.

Experience- Minimum experience of three years of preparing business and individual tax returns, S‑Corp, Partnerships, and trust or non‑profit returns.
- Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or similar role within the financial services sector.
- Strong knowledge of technical accounting principles and practices.
- Experience with general ledger reconciliation processes.
- Ability to interpret complex financial reports and communicate findings effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing a team of accounting professionals.
