Parametric Millwork Designer using Inventor Pro

Drafter/Designers use Autodesk Inventor software to convert architectural drawings into technical manufacturing drawings. Create, Maintain, and update models to assure timely manufacturing of products to customer specifications. Assist as needed for accurate interpretation to production personnel. Reports directly to the Engineering Supervisor.

• Create accurate 3d parametric models using Inventor Professional.
• Design detailed drawings, diagrams, and layouts for customer submittals and manufacturing.
• Maintains and updates file structures and naming criteria for use within Vault PDM software.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, rough sketches, and technical data.
• Add details to drawings that show an understanding of industry building techniques.
• Assists with the engineering of product.
• Capability to work at a computer for long periods of time.
• Other duties that may be assigned on an as-required basis.
• Capacity to manage multiple projects.
• Communicates effectively to internal and external customers, both verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrates a professional attitude when approaching work assignments.
• Displays a sense of urgency toward completing assigned tasks on time.
• Assists in developing timely solutions to problems.
• Familiarity with woodworking and cabinetry a plus.
• Familiarity with sheet metal, welding, and metal manufacturing practices a plus.
• Excellent math skills.
• Must be detail oriented.

• Follows procedures in company handbook and other documents.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Vocational degree in drafting, design or at least two years of drafting experience necessary.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
