On Call Substitute Teacher

We're hiring substitute teachers for the 2025–2026 school year to support students in inclusive and special education classrooms. These are not summer roles — they're full-year opportunities to build classroom experience, develop your teaching practice, and make a lasting impact.

We're looking for adaptable and committed substitute teachers to support learning across a single school building.

You'll work with multiple classrooms, gaining valuable teaching experience and building lasting relationships in one consistent setting.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain a classroom environment that is conducive to learning
- Assign lessons and follow the classroom lesson plans
- Maintaining a safe learning environment
- Utilize a variety of learning methods to enhance students learning experiences and support them as needed

Qualifications:

- Minnesota Teachers License
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Applicants must have professional proficiency in English
- US Work Authorization - Zen Educate cannot provide sponsorship for an employment visa or relocation assistance at this time.

Physical Requirements:

- Comfortable being on your feet and moving around the classroom throughout the day
- Able to lift up to 20 lbs and safely assist students when needed (kneeling, bending, quick response)
- Additional physical requirements may be requested during your application process

Preferred Qualifications:

- Tier 3 or 4 MN teaching license
Salary
Pay: $180 - $210/day, paid weekly.

Schedule:

Monday to Friday, within hours of 7:30 am - 3:00/4:30 pm (no weekend work).
