What You'll Do as an Industrial Painter:

  • Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, masking, grinding, and blasting as required
  • Apply industrial coatings using spray equipment and other application methods
  • Mix paint and coatings according to specifications and manufacturer guidelines
  • Ensure proper coating thickness, coverage, and finish quality
  • Inspect finished products for defects such as runs, drips, or inconsistencies
  • Follow safety procedures related to hazardous materials, PPE, and ventilation requirements
  • Maintain painting equipment, spray booths, and work areas in a clean and safe condition
  • Read and follow work instructions, blueprints, and coating specifications
  • Work collaboratively with welders, fabricators, and supervisors to meet production schedules

What You Need to Bring to the Industrial Painter Role:

  • Must have at least 6 months industrial or manufacturing painting experience in the last 3 years
  • Must have knowledge of surface preparation techniques and coating applications
  • Must be able to safely operate spray guns, sanders, grinders, and related equipment
  • Must have basic math and measurement skills
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
  • Reliable attendance and ability to work scheduled shifts
  • Experience painting tanks, pressure vessels, or heavy industrial equipment is preferred
  • Familiarity with epoxy, urethane, or other industrial coating systems is preferred
