How you’ll make an impact
Own setups and production on Citizen/Tsugami Swiss lathes, Index multi-spindle lathes, Robo Drills, mill-turn, and horizontal/vertical mills (3-4-5 axis).Apply precise offsets and perform rapid tool changes to keep throughput high with minimal supervision.
Launch legacy and new jobs, stabilizing processes for repeatable output.
Verify parts using microscopes, micrometers, calipers, pin/thread gauges, comparators, Micro-Hite, CMM, and vision inspection equipment.
Capture and maintain quality records and ISO 13485 documentation.
Execute scheduled and regular preventive maintenance.
Lead or participate in root-cause problem-solving for complex machining and process issues.
Control identification and traceability of conforming and nonconforming materials.
Champion GDP/GMP and continuous improvement practices.
Use ERP and QMS to document inspections and manage traceability.
Work safely, following PPE guidance and occupational safety/health requirements.
Comply with the TOMZ Quality Management System; perform other duties as assigned.
Collaboration and reporting
You will report to the Operations Supervisor and work cross-functionally with R&D, Manufacturing, and QA to hit quality and delivery targets.
What you’ll bring
Experience in Class I, II, and/or III medical device manufacturing within a regulated environment; comfortable with calibrated equipment and hazardous materials.
Background in regulated industries; aerospace, defense, or automotive exposure is valuable.
Knowledge of GMP/ISO standards and an ability to apply them on the floor.
Self-starter who thrives both independently and in teams; collaborates effectively with guidance.
Mechanical aptitude for equipment setup, care, and inspection workflows.
Skilled with hand tools for PM, minor repairs, and tool changes.
Blueprint/specification literacy, including GD&T interpretation.
Detail-driven, organized, and quick to identify nonconformances.
Education & experience
High school diploma, GED, or directly transferrable work experience (Manufacturing/Engineering discipline preferred).Technical school certification preferred.
2–5 years in a regulated manufacturing setting.
Physical capabilities
Able to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs (team lift or mechanical assist required over 50 lbs).Perform repetitive hand/arm motions and lift up to 20 lbs; grip, twist, and place components for extended periods, including overhead.
20/20 vision (assisted or unassisted) for sorting raw and nonconforming materials; fine dexterity for small-to-medium parts.
Comfort working around oil, grease, noise, cleaning solvents, dust, metal particles, sparks, coolant, and sharp edges; PPE (safety glasses, dust masks, ear plugs, cut- or chemical-resistant gloves) and engineering controls may be required.
Comfortable sitting or standing for prolonged periods.
Shifts and compensation
Weekend
Shift: 20% differential, 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM Friday–Sunday2nd
Shift: 15% differential, 5:00 PM – 3:30 AM1st
Shift: No differential
Pay range: $23.50 – $30.50
