OMSS Gear Up is looking for a student assistant who is available to travel to different target schools and help with events. The ideal candidate appreciates cultural diversity and can work independently.

• Available to work events requiring late hours and some weekends.
• Must possess ability to work independently and as a team member.
• Understanding and appreciation for cultural diversity.
• Driving record check required (university policy). Must sign authorization for criminal background and driving record check.

• Answer phones, copy, fax, and file.
• Travel to 5 Michigan GEAR‑UP target schools.
• Assist in collecting student and parent data.
• Plan and execute college campus GEAR‑UP events.
• Maintain positive relationships with GEAR‑UP parents.
