Position Title: OMSS Gear Up Student Assistant (Student Position)
Location: Big Rapids, MI 49307 Department: Diversity and Inclusion Office

Summary of Position: OMSS Gear Up is looking for a student assistant that is available to travel to the different target schools and help with events. They are looking for someone who appreciates culture diversity and is able to work independently.

• Answering phones, copying, faxing, and filing
• Travel to 5 Michigan GEAR UP target schools
• Assist in the collection of student and parent data
• Planning and executing college campus GEAR UP events
• Maintain positive relationships with GEAR UP parents

• Available to work events requiring late hours and some weekends
• As an individual who is responsible for driving on behalf of the university, a driving record check will be run pursuant to university policies. The individual will be required to sign an authorization to run a criminal history background and driving record check.
• Possess ability to work independently and as a team member
• Understanding and appreciation for culture diversity
