Insurance Authorization/Patient Registration Specialist

Job Summary
Under general supervision, performs clerical and general office work of moderate difficulty, registers and pre-registers patients, schedules ancillary procedures, assists patients and guarantors with insurance questions, and works hospital and office procedures pre-certification. Performs duties of obtaining authorizations, referrals, account payment questions, collections for services,
- Preferred:
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Required:
One or more years of Clerical or Office experience - Preferred:
One or more years of Medical Billing/Insurance Authorization experience - Preferred:
Knowledge of Medical Terminology - Preferred:
One or more years of experience Handling Cash - Certification/Licensure: N/A
