Medical Technologist

Role: Performs diagnostic laboratory testing on various specimens, demonstrating clinical competencies in laboratory procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Conducts and analyzes a range of laboratory tests accurately and efficiently.
• Prepares reagents, standards, and controls as per protocols.
• Maintains and calibrates laboratory instruments.
• Researches and develops new procedures when assigned.
• Adheres to safety, hospital, and departmental policies.
• Utilizes computer systems for daily operations.
• Assists in training new staff and students.
• Contributes to team efforts, quality improvement, and department productivity.
• Performs additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED;
  Bachelor’s in Medical Technology or related field preferred.
• Certification eligibility in Medical Laboratory Science (ASCP, AMT, or equivalent).
• Experience in Blood Banking, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, Immunology, or Urinalysis is preferred.
• Training from the U.S. Military or accredited programs considered.
