Job Summary:
Responsible for data collection, creation and maintenance of the Pipeline Open Data Standard (PODS) Geographic Information System (GIS) Database as well as fulfilling map and data requests from within company divisions as well as State and Federal agencies; creating and editing shape files, file geodatabases, and ArcSDE (SQL) geodatabases; performs needed maintenance functions with the geodatabase and related software; assists in deploying the latest GIS technology with other GIS staff, as well as regular interfacing and coordination with other departments.
Education and Experience2 year / Associate Degree (Required) In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Two (2) or more years Experience in a related field (Required) Required Certifications/Licensures: (Knowledge of how to utilize basic surveying techniques, GPS software and equipment such as Pathfinder and Trimble GeoXH and Microsoft Office Suite, Knowledge of ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise and Applications (e.g., ArcGIS Web App Builder, Dashboards, Workforce, Survey 123, Field Maps))

Responsible for collection of data in the field using Global Positioning System (GPS) units Processes and imports survey data into various data formats Inputs collected survey data into Pipeline Open Data Standard (PODS) database using Arc Pro, ArcGIS Pipeline Referencing (APR) and additional software Performs daily input, editing and analysis of pipeline activity into database Assists in running In-Line Inspection (ILI) tools Collects survey data and associated records from ILI repairs to update PODS Works with company divisions to collect asset data for entry into PODS Ensures maintenance histories, photos and records are scanned, stored, coded and accurately filed Creates reports and submissions to Government agencies Provides information to other departments and/or other individuals regarding GIS data;
completes various reports, queries, correspondence, inspection records and other necessary documents Participates on State and Federal audit teams Ensures that quality assurance on new or revised data conforms to standards laid out in the geodatabase, or any other applicable standard or policy Performs other duties as assigned
