Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN with circulating experience and prior travel experience for a 13-week contract assignment in West Texas.

• Active TX RN license or a Compact RN license accepted in Texas required
• Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Circulating experience required
• 2 supervisory references from within the last 3 years required for consideration

• Operating room setting within a hospital environment
• Performs circulating duties in the OR
• Call responsibilities shared on a rotating basis between 2 RNs — call covers general surgery and emergency C-sections
• Call rotation schedule:
  Mon, Tue, Fri–Sun one week;
  Wed and Thu the following week, then repeats
• Day shift, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
• Schedule is primarily 3x12s, though 4x10s or 5x8s may be considered
• Traveler must report to the main Shannon Medical Center campus in San Angelo on the first day before resuming the contract at the Big Spring location
• Facility conducts its own drug screen upon arrival, including testing for marijuana — a positive result results in automatic cancellation with no exceptions; candidates should avoid any products that could produce a positive result, including CBD, prior to the onsite screen
• Candidates must reside more than 110 miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted
• 13-week contract assignment
