American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position requiring 2+ years of prior travel nursing experience and a TX or compact RN license.

• Work on a Medical Surgical unit caring primarily for adult patients, with occasional pediatric patients
• Night shift options available: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM-7:00 AM) or 4x10-hour shifts (7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
• Alternating 36/48 hour schedule
• Permanent staff available for support when needed

• Active RN license (TX or Compact) required in-hand at time of consideration
• Required certifications: BLS and Nursys; ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS preferred
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Minimum 2 years of prior travel nursing experience required
• Skills required:
  
  IV therapy/phlebotomy, accessing/managing ports, blood product administration, peripheral line care/management, starting and maintaining IVs
• Skills required:
  
  oxygen administration and nasal cannula management
• Skills required:
  
  heparin and insulin administration, PCA management
• Skills preferred:
  BiPAP/CPAP management, cardiac and vasoactive drip management (no titration)
• Skills required:
  
  isolation precautions/PPE, rapid response/code team utilization
• Med/Surg and telemetry work setting experience preferred
• Comfortable performing cardiac monitoring and responding to emergencies

• Provide comfortable, competent care to adult and occasional pediatric patients on the unit
• Must reside outside a 110-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
• Facility conducts its own onsite drug screening upon arrival, including marijuana testing, with automatic cancellation for any positive result
• Candidates should avoid CBD products and other substances that could result in a positive drug screen prior to arrival
• RTO (requested time off) must be submitted for consideration
