Whiskers & Tails is looking for a dependable and compassionate team member to join our low-cost, high-volume spay and neuter clinic in Big Spring, Texas.
This is a part-time position working approximately 8 to 10 clinic days per month. Team members may assist in different areas of the clinic, including surgical preparation, surgery support, and animal recovery.
No previous veterinary experience is required, but it is preferred. We are open to applicants of all experience levels and are willing to train the right person.
Responsibilities may include:- Preparing animals, supplies, and equipment for surgery
- Cleaning and sterilizing surgical instruments
- Assisting the veterinary team during clinic operations
- Monitoring animals as they recover from anesthesia
- Keeping clinic areas clean, organized, and properly stocked
- Handling dogs and cats safely and compassionately
- Working efficiently as part of a fast-paced team
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable working with dogs and cats
- Compassionate and attentive to animal safety
- Able to follow instructions and clinic protocols
- Willing to learn and assist wherever needed
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and performing physical tasks
- Able to remain calm in a busy clinic environment
- Able to work approximately 8 to 10 days each month in Big Spring
