Role Summary
Under general supervision, provides security for patients, employees and visitors. Protects hospital buildings and assets.
QualificationsEducation
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
Experience
- One year of experience in Public Contact Work
- Completion of one year of an approved Security Officer Training Course
Certification/Licensure
- Valid Texas Driver’s License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification – must obtain within ninety (90) days of start date
- Level III SAFE Training – must obtain within ninety (90) days of start date
- Level II Security Training Licensure with authorization from the State of Texas – must obtain within sixty (60) days of start date. Failure to obtain will result in termination.
- Level III Security Training Licensure with authorization from the State of Texas – must obtain within six (6) months of start date. Failure to obtain will result in termination. Recertification required every two (2) years.
