Material waste disposal site in Big Spring, TX.
Each day you’ll work at a waste disposal facility servicing over 20 million customers across the USA. You will be responsible for the service and repair of heavy equipment such as bulldozers, scrapers, backhoes, front-end loaders, yard trucks, farm tractors, forklifts, and company cars. Your work will be recognized for its impact on our operation.
- Repair equipment including bulldozers, scrapers, backhoes, front-end loaders, yard trucks, farm tractors, forklifts, and company cars.
- Diagnose and repair differentials, hydraulic systems, motors, transmissions, drives, air conditioning systems, and electrical systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance as set out by the site checklist.
- Complete paperwork and administrative tasks such as work orders, card files, P.M. checklists, and oil samples.
- Service and maintain other equipment such as light plants, water pumps, welders, and other equipment.
- 1 year of maintenance mechanic experience on heavy equipment.
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Be over 18 years of age.
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screen and physical.
- Work independently and thrive in independent environments.
- Take accountability for the quality and standard of their work.
- Good communicators who support other colleagues.
- Curious and determined fixers.
- Required to exert physical effort including frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, and climbing; constant standing, walking, and grasping; occasionally sitting and balancing.
- Exposure to physical occupational risks such as cuts, burns, exposure to toxic chemicals, etc., often.
- Exposure to physical environment involving dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements, often.
- Job operates in both inside garage, shop or gas plant conditions as well as outside conditions including inclement weather, heat and humidity.
