Job Summary

Apprentice Linemen/Groundsman works with line crews in the power/utility industry supporting linemen who install and maintain electrical distribution and transmission lines.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

* Set up job sites and safety zones

* Hand tools and materials to lineman

* Dig holes, set poles and anchor guy wires

* Operate equipment augers, trenchers, bucket trucks

* Once trained direct traffic in work zones

* Maintain and organize tools and trucks

Qualifications

* Basic understanding of electricity and safety

* Ability to follow strict safety protocols

* Team communication - working closely with a crew

* Class C or Class A Driver's License; CDL preferred
