Experience: Manager

Salary: $125,000 - $150,000 per year

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage the entire cost accounting function, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of financial data.
  • Conduct comprehensive inventory analysis, monitoring and analyzing inventory valuation, turnover, and reserves.
  • Develop and maintain labor and overhead absorption rates, providing critical insight into our cost structures and profitability.
  • Manage BOMs (Bill of Materials), ensuring accurate and up-to-date cost information.
  • Oversee fixed asset accounting, including depreciation, disposals, and asset tracking.
  • Prepare and post monthly entries, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with the finance team to prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in the cost accounting process, identifying opportunities for efficiency and accuracy improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing cost accounting expertise and support as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and internal policies.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A CPA or CMA certification is highly desirable.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in the Medical Device or a highly-regulated industry.
  • Proficient in inventory analysis, labor and overhead absorption rates, BOMs, fixed asset accounting, and monthly entries.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with accounting software.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • High level of integrity and dependability, with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
