The staff accountant is responsible for executing and maintaining day-to-day accounting transactions for Sanvita Medical and 3 related realty entities.
This role participates fully in the finance function including accounts payable, general ledger, and month-end close activities and supports other cross functional activities including the manufacturing, research, and administrative teams in this small but growing Company.
The ideal candidate is versatile, able to handle diverse tasks with accuracy, timeliness, and attention to detail and has a willingness to help where needed. This is a fantastic opportunity to have an impact on all parts of the business with significant exposure to ownership and senior management
- Maintain the general ledger including posting journal entries, reconciling accounts and supporting the month-end and year-end close;
- Analyze variances, build basic financial models, and track key performance indicators to identify trends and help make sense of the financial results;
- Support purchase order and vendor management and onboarding following established guidelines
- Handle accounts payable including invoice vouching, payments, credit card reconciliations, payable accruals, and responding to vendors;
- Track capital assets including monthly depreciation and reconciliation, CER management, and tracking of assets in process;
- Manage financial transactions for the Realty LLCs including rent invoicing, CAM tracking, cash reporting, accounts payable and fixed asset management;
- Assist with cash forecasting, budgeting, and preparation of internal financial packages;
- Prepare and process weekly payroll, assist with administration of associated benefits and maintain timekeeping system and payroll reporting processes
- Partner with members of other functions including human resources, manufacturing, purchasing, sales, and research and development to provide support and assistance as needed; and
- Other duties as assigned.
- Understanding of basic US GAAP accounting principles
- 0-2 years’ experience in transactional accounting and/or financial analysis
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office - especially Microsoft Excel
- Familiarity with ERP systems
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- A self-motivated person with a positive attitude, a love of accounting, and a willingness to contribute to a team will be highly successful in this position.
