Role Summary

The Executive Assistant will support the CEO. This person must be able to interact with staff at all levels in a fast‑paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining positive, flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient. This position interacts with employees, corporate officers, the board, external professionals and other staff as necessary. The role represents the CEO‑Office and requires a positive, professional demeanor, sense of urgency, and the ability to keep sensitive material and conversations strictly confidential.

Expert‑level written and verbal communication skills, strong decision‑making ability and attention to detail are a must. This position is full‑time, 5 days a week in the Billerica office, reporting to the Chief People Officer.

What You’ll Do
  • Complex calendar management in Outlook
  • Meeting and event planning
  • Extensive travel arrangements
  • Provide general administrative support
  • Manage and maintain extremely confidential/sensitive matters
  • Board liaison
  • Preparation of materials for presentations, advanced PowerPoint & Excel skills
  • Expense management
  • Project management as needed
  • Backup support for other members of Executive Administration Team
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 7+ years of executive administrative experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting CEO strongly preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Critical eye to detail and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and determine priorities
  • Ability to take initiative and work well under pressure
  • Positive, polished and articulate with strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to interface with high‑level internal and external contacts requiring discretion and initiative
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced challenging environment while maintaining a high level of confidentiality
  • Adaptable to change
  • Must work independently and as a team player
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Intuitive, able to anticipate needs and develop options
  • Experience in Life Science industry a plus
