Operations Administrator Job Summary
A detail-oriented and analytical Operations Administrator to support daily operational and financial activities, with a strong focus on business operations management. This role plays a key part in tracking budgets, monitoring costs, and ensuring financial accuracy across projects while supporting cross-functional workflows that drive efficiency and accountability. Key Responsibilities- Coordinate day-to-day operational activities to support project delivery and organizational efficiency
- Maintain, track, and monitor key project variables including job costing (labor and materials), budgets, invoices, and expenses to ensure financial alignment and accurate forecasting
- Prepare, update, and distribute financial and operational reports as required
- Identify potential financial risks and escalate budget or cost concerns following project reviews
- Ensure compliance with internal project and financial policies and procedures
- Support process improvement initiatives related to financial controls and operational efficiency
- Demonstrate strong planning, organization, and execution skills to successfully manage responsibilities
- Must be responsible, self‑motivated, self‑starter, personable and well‑organized.
- Manage deadlines and perform effectively in fast‑paced or high‑pressure situations
- Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Operations Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of experience in operations coordination, project coordination, or financial administration
- Experience with project financial tracking, budgeting, and cost reporting
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time‑management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Smartsheet; experience with ERP, accounting, or project management systems preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Preferred:
- Experience supporting multiple functional managers
- Familiarity with KPIs, forecasting, and financial dashboards
- Knowledge of project financials and cost analysis
Ability tomaintaincomposure in high-pressure environments while upholding DGI’s values.
Tasks may involve standing, sitting, walking, reaching, carrying, anduse ofmanual dexterity.
Must be able to adapt to varying noise levels and occasional outdoor work with seasonal temperature changes.
