Paraprofessional / IA
This is a long-term substitute position only until the end of the school year and pays $15/hr the position is 32.5 hours per week (6.5 hours per day with a ½ unpaid lunch break).
The paraprofessional will support special education students in the regular education inclusion setting and support students in a small group academic support setting.
Responsibilities- Prepare instructional material and learning activities in assigned classroom.
- Provide direct instruction to groups of students or individuals in or out of the classroom.
- Implement individualized and small group instruction and discussions.
- Accommodate and modify materials to match students’ needs as prescribed by the teacher.
- Assist with the collection of student data.
- Consult with teachers on students’ progress and on specific strategies and methodologies to be used.
- Supervise unstructured time such as recess and/or lunch duty unless directed otherwise.
- Assist the teacher in clean‑up.
- Assist with any other tasks students are not able to perform for themselves.
- Depending on assignment, provide assistance in escorting children to and from vehicles during drop‑off or pick‑up.
- Assist students in using technology.
- Assist substitutes in following lesson plans when classroom teacher is absent.
- Ability to lift 30 lbs. independently.
- Willingness to participate in toileting activities is required.
- Provide other related duties that the principal, assistant principal, Special Education Director, and/or teacher may assign.

Job Requirements- CORI & FINGERPRINT CLEARANCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor degree preferred.
